About

Gummy Chic was founded in 2014 when my oldest daughter started teething. I personally loved wearing necklaces and after her birth I couldn't wear any because I feared she would break them and get hurt. I fell in love with the idea of silicone teething necklaces, so I decided to use my background as a designer and my love for fashion, from there I channelled my creativity into making fashionable, fun and safe accessories for me and my daughter!

In the early years, I was lucky to be surrounded by a very supportive American military community in Germany and with their help and feedback, my shop started growing. In July 2017 we moved back to the States and my website was created! Fast forward to 2019, we are back in Germany serving our military community and with both website and Etsy open I am hoping to bring my teething and sensory accessories to more families around the world!

Being a Mom of two girls, I'm always looking to create fashionable and safe necklaces not only for adults but also for kids. I'm always on the lookout for the best quality baby teethers on the market and I am also  the proud creator of the original Milkshake, Cassette tapes, Mermicorn, Paris tower and Rainbow world TEETHERS! We have added some muslin blankets to match these designs as well!

You will find many of our necklaces to be inspired by cities around the world,  traveling is one of my biggest passions in life. Before getting married and deciding to start a family, both my husband and I travelled the world. I fell in love with the beaches in Mallorca and Santorini, explored the busy cities of Taipei and Bangkok, enjoyed the views at the top of Mount Fuji and wandered the Christmas markets in Vienna and Prague.

Safety is most important, so I always follow safety guidelines when creating these accessories.  We have also invested in CPSC approved laboratory testing for our teethers and paci clips to give our little customers the best quality and also peace of mind to parents.

As a way to give back to the community, we continually donate to different organizations that are near and dear to us. Organization that create awareness for sensory processing disorders and Autism, also private organizations looking to support Women and Children.  You can find out more about it on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

I really love what I do and this wouldn't be possible without your constant support!

Thank you,
Claudia
